Decision details

That Council:

1.       Notes with serious concern the InDaily article of 20 July 2026 titled "Councillor quits Friday, now leaked report reveals shock findings", which published the contents of a confidential report that had not been publicly released.

2.       Requests that the Chief Executive Officer investigate the unauthorised disclosure and report the outcome to Council, subject to any legal and confidentiality constraints.

3.       Requests that the Chief Executive Officer review Council's arrangements for handling confidential information and report back to Council with any recommended improvements.
