That Council;

Asks the Administration to review the use and potential misuse of smart glasses at Council owned or controlled locations, including the Park Lands, with a view to recommending possible restrictions or a complete ban on the use of this and similar technology.

Discussion ensued, during which Councillor Snape re-entered at 9.54 pm.

That the motion be amended to read as follows:

‘That Council;

Asks the Administration to review the use and potential misuse of smart glasses at Council owned or controlled locations, including the Park Lands, with a view to recommending possible restrictions on the use of this and similar technology and that the review specifically consider accessibility and disability requirements and ensure that any proposed restrictions do not prevent the use of smart glasses or similar technology as an assistive device.’
