Decision details

THAT COUNCIL:

1.       Requests the Administration to, via the Consultation Protocol established with the State Government regarding the North Adelaide Public Golf Course Redevelopment in the Adelaide Park Lands, urgently:

a)       Express concern about potential adverse impacts to native wildlife protected under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972 arising from tree removal and other redevelopment works in Parks 1 and 27A.

b)       Request confirmation of processes being undertaken to monitor and minimise impacts to native wildlife that may increase species vulnerability and risk of mortality, including loss of hollows and other habitat, species displacement, loss of food sources, increased exposure to predators, increased prevalence of disease and other factors as relevant.

c)       Requests confirmation of the communication protocol and process with the North Adelaide Public Golf Course project managers.
