THAT THE CITY PLANNING, DEVELOPMENT AND BUSINESS AFFAIRS COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS TO COUNCIL

THAT COUNCIL

1.       Adopts the Adelaide Park Lands Management Strategy - Towards 2036 as contained in Attachment A to Item 7.1 on the Agenda for the meeting of the City Planning, Development and Business Affairs Committee held on 5 November 2024.

2.       Authorises the Chief Executive Officer, or delegate, to write to the Minister for Planning advising that Council adopted the Adelaide Park Lands Management Strategy - Towards 2036 as contained in Attachment A to Item 7.1 on the Agenda for the meeting of the City Planning, Development and Business Affairs Committee held on 5 November 2024 and confer, via exchange of letters, on the report and proposal.

3.       Authorises the Chief Executive Officer, or delegate, to make minor or typographical amendments to the document contained in Attachment A to Item 7.1 on the Agenda for the meeting of the City Planning, Development and Business Affairs Committee held on 5 November 2024 for the purposes of finalising the documents.

Undertaking – Reduction of car parking on the Park Lands target

In response to a query from Councillor Martin, an undertaking was given to provide Members with information on the 5% reduction of car parking target in the current strategy and if that target was met.
